Warren Meyer says that prostitution should be legalized.
I read his post, and thought about it, and now I wonder how it makes sense that sex between two men is a constitutionally protected right while sex between a man and a woman where some money is paid to the woman is grounds for imprisonment.
It isn't very consistent. I prefer it when our laws make sense.
I notice that you don't state which side you prefer the consistency to lean towards. I have to agree with Meyer.

What is worst in this situation is when the woman commits a crime - usually called "soliciting" or similar - and the guy walks away.
If there is a crime in offering, then there should be an equal crime in "buying".
