Here's a link to a web page of cartoons from the Arab World.
This demonstrates the double standard in which Muslim Arab newspapers can print anti-semitic cartoons while liberals in the West insist that Arabs love the Jews and the whole Palestinian problem is entirely the fault of Israel.
And there was a double standard in there before I even got to mentioning the Danish cartoons which are pretty innocuous compared to the Arab cartoons above.

The blogger Bear to the Right has an excellent summary of the "radical" Muslim message:
The radical Muslim message is clear: We can insult your religions. We can desecrate and destroy your holy places and kill your co-religionists, but you cannot do something as trivial as publishing satirical drawings of our sacred symbols. Only our religion should be honored and respected. The world must defer to our rules and sensitivities. If you violate them, we will erupt in riots and violence and call for your deaths."
I'm not convinced that only "radical" Muslims feel that way. It seems like the mainstream Muslim feeling. After all, the laws of a nation reflect the mainstream views of a country not its radical views, and in many Muslim countries it's a crime, punishable by death, to blaspheme Islam.
Can you tell me please, which of all the cartoons from your first link actually show God, Christ or anyone else from the Christian or Jewish religions.
The comparison will be valid when that type of cartoon is presented as evidence.
Second point -
WITH FREEDOM COMES RESPONSIBILITY.
First of those responsibilities must be to cherish the freedom.
Second must (surely) be not to abuse the freedom.
It is my belief that the actions of the tin-pot little minded editor from an obscure rag in Denmark has sorely abused the freedom of speech, and for what? His fifteen seconds of fame?

Spreading lies that Jews drink the blood of goyish children seems far more obnoxious to me than a cute picture of Mohamed.
