Young people of both sexes relatively worse off

As we see, the younger generation was comparatively better off in the 1970s making over 80% of the income of the older generation. In the 2000s, their relative income declined to around 70%.

This explains why private school tuition is being increasingly paid for by grandparents.

What percentage of the men aged 25-34 was white in 1974 and what is the precenage today. Aren't you really arguing that minority men today are not as well of as white men thirty years ago?

i'll bet minorities are better off than their parents. every possible advantage has been stacked in their favor. you name it they get it - affirmative action in hiring and school admissions to grants and scholorships. if i could only have been born black i'd have so many government granted oportunities in life.

i really wish you would start to address some of the silly crap we put up with from minorities especially blacks. its time someone takes aim at the pavlovian reaction that blacks have towards anything that they do not like. that reaction is to shout racism until they get action. two stories are great examples of this - cynthia mckinny and the duke lacrosse team.

can you believe that rep mckinny smacks a cop on capital hill and then has the nerve to say that this was racial profiling??? racial profiling is no reason to assault the officer even if the allegation were true. however, it wasn't true. he stopped her because she was trying to skate through the security point. he stopped and he should have. then she tries to make things right by giving a half hearted apology on the floor. but i think that making the racial allegation is akin to accusing someone of being a child molester. it taints the accused and forces him to disprove the allegation. it is accepted on its face as true. so, accusing someone of racism is not an allegation that you can take back. if you are reckless with the allegation, then you must go. mckinney should resign her seat without delay!!!!

now the duke lacrosse team. wow, has the da backed himself into a corner. he has sided with a black stripper who was druck when she started dancing, and left after a few minutes and now says she was raped. oh, yeah, right. the dna tests will disprove that any rape occurred. this stripper was mad when she left because she was trying to cheat the players out of their money. and when she got up set, she resorted to what always works for blacks - RACISM. watch the news on this, the dna will show that no one touched that stripper. and watch the blacks riot with indignation. if you're white, you should leave durham.

but i would also like to point out what a great reaction the black stripper got. she got a dna sample from every white member of the lacrosse team even though she said that only three of them assaulted her. the judge signed the order. wow, talk about an overbroad search. don't whites have constitutional rights anymore. sure, if she had fingered three of them there would be probable cause to test those three, but not all 46. that was wrong, but that is what blacks have come to expect - cry racism and white people start moving.

i say i'm a racist. i want nothing to do with blacks. we've tried integration; it didn't work. let's separate.

JN's statement is overbroad. Some blacks might be doing significantly better than their parents, but not all. There is no doubt that race is still a problem in this country, so I would not dismiss their complains without examining the merits first.

Regarding the congresswoman's complain, it comes down to her perception of the world. She probably believed that the guard was dissing her - a black woman could not be a member of congress. If she was a white woman, she would have been able to walk right in, etc. But she failed to present any evidence to support this. To make things worse, she physically battered the guard who is acting within the bounds of his job. This is not to say her perceiption is completely invalid, but her bad behavior pre-empted any possibility of addressing them.

nobody is right. race is still a problem, but the problem is that blacks' answer for every situation that they find themselves in is this is the racist white man's fault.

whatever mckinny's perception may be, she was absolutely wrong to suggest that she battered the cop to defend herself against racial profiling. few people see the racial problem in this country the way i do, but for those who see it the way you do, it is a very serious allegation and she should resign from congress for using this allegation in such a reckless way.

and my statement is not overbroad. every black, EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM, is entitled to affirmative action preferences and racially set aside scholorships and grants. they are in fact on a better playing field than whites when it comes to admission because their race counts in their favor and not against them. sure, some whites come from privilege, but they still have to score well on tests and have high gpas to get in the door.

whites are surrendering their positions of power to blacks. and blacks have argued for years that whites control the power structure in america. i agree with that. what i disagree with is white people who think they should cede this power to blacks. the black agenda is not fairness, but rather the opportunity to discriminate against whites and rob whites of what they have. if we view society's power as a zero sum game, why in the world would i ever give any power up. if i am going to have power or you are going to have power, it seems reasonable to me that i should keep it.

half: start covering this. this is an atrocity. where is the indignation at the lacrosse season being cancelled before there was a shred of proof? and all of the garbage about the how the players always caused trouble. its time for the university president to resign and the district attorney, for gods sake both should go NOW!!!
