Evangelical leader Ted Haggard says that he did buy methamphetamine and get a massage from a gay prostitute, but that he didn't use the meth and he didn't have gax sex. The gay prostitute tells a much different story. (Source: Guardian Unlimited carrying an AP article.)
Who buys meth and then doesn't use it? Why was the guy getting a massage from a gay prostitute in the first place? The denials don't add up. As someone in a position where it's important to avoid even the appearance of impropriety, why would he even do what he admitted to do?
Unless, of course, he was unable to resist his sexual urges which were unfulfilled by his wife, perhaps because she was lacking something (such as a Y chromosone).
"Who buys meth and then doesn't use it?"
The same kind of person who smokes pot but doesn't inhale.
A shameless douchebag with delusions of grandeur.

I got a few massages from a gay masseus in Houston. He was really good. I can see how a gay prostitute might give even better ones without any sexual activities. Not wise for a person in his position, but I could see it. The meth, on the other hand, I can think of no good reason for.

Why would somebody of such a high rank use such a low class trashy drug like meth unless they were gay. I thought cocaine was the prefered choice of our upper classes and meth was just crack for white trash.
