Andrew Sullivan is back
Andrew Sullivan is writing about Sarah Palin again. I'm relieved. I was worried that they had gotten to him.
If she is a fraud, and has been proven a demonstrable liar in ways that a competent campaign would have vetted six months ago, McCain's campaign is over, and deserves to be over.
I don't know about that. The way this thing is going, everything bad about the Palin family is just presented as an example of how she's a real mother with regular problems that regular people can relate to and thus more of a reason to vote for her--like drug-using and pregnant teenage kids, and whatever it is she's hiding about her fifth pregnancy.
I guess it's comforting to have someone else still droning on with a weeks-old Palin obsession. Kind of like having one other person in the audience who claps between movements.

HS,
When regular middle class Americans (or to use your terminology, the hated and feared PROLES!) see AIDS infected, Christian hating, leftist sexual deviants such as Madame Andrew Sullivan piss on Sarah Palin, her support grows. Why? Because they correctly see the elite leftist attacks on Palin as indirect criticisms of average white Americans.
You can see this in the polls as white independents and women have swung towards McCain.

As if lying has ever hurt the Republicans.

Sullivan's column was an exercise in wishful thinking. Kind of like gay bareback sex and hoping you won't get AIDS.

"As if lying has ever hurt the Republicans."
Sure as hell hurt John Francis Kerry (But it hurt that wounded VC he shot for kicks even more).

sullivan has lost all perspective.
hey HS, here's a pic for your anti-prole crusade. is that a tattoo on her left ankle?

"is that a tattoo on her left ankle?"
I've already blogged about her Big Dipper tattoo.
It sets the wrong example when the Vice President has a tattoo.

Drudge Report is running a picture of McCain and Palin that implies sexual tension between them. Perhaps McCain was thinking with his dick when he picked Palin?

Jewish Atheist,
Please stop being such a whining pussy and get a grip.

"Besides, Obama needs to respond to the insane and desperate lies being lobbed at him. He's not Dukakis. And he should also keep reminding voters that, unlike the McCain camp, who don't want to discuss the issues in this campaign, he does. "
I think Sullivan may now have some sort of a brain wasting disease.
Who is it that has been subject to insane and desperate lies? Sullivan just got done accusing her of of sneaking across the country with a fake pregnancy belly to give birth to her own grandson.
What did someone accuse Obama of? Being a community organizer?
And Obama has never discussed any issues! He name checks them. Thats not the same thing. His acceptance speech had no specifics at all in it.
To claim that Obama want to discuss issues may be the biggest counterfactual of the year.

Holy Cow this mother of five gag is running thin...

Are you really turning one of the best political blogs into a cheap gossip flyer Half Sigma?

Difference between McBush and Palin. McBush likes lipstick on his pigs, Palin takes her pork anyway she can get it.

todd,
I like that "McBush" thing. Know where I can get a bumpersticker with that on it? Now go get a haircut before you end up with a cock in your mouth!

"hey HS, here's a pic for your anti-prole crusade. "
I gotta admit, for a prole, she has excellent taste in shoes.

This site used to be interesting. Now it appears to be nothing more than a dailykos front for attacks on Sarah Palin. I'm not sure if HS sold his site or the site was hijacked, but it's not worth reading any more.

BTW, Lady Andrew recently wrote an awful book called "The Conservative Soul." Any conservatives out there think they should be taking lessons on conservatism from a gay guy who solicits anonymous three-way "barebacking" with HIV positive homosexuals? Yes, this was made public a while back.
A "conservative" voting for a Senator named the "most liberal" by The Nation magazine. Heh.

Certain AIDS-related secondary diseases can cause dementia. Anyone know what his T cell count is these days?

Wasn't there some talk years ago, that George Bush had a fraternity tattoo or brand on his ass? Bush isn't a prole, is he?

"As if lying has ever hurt the Republicans."

"To claim that Obama want to discuss issues may be the biggest counterfactual of the year."
Amen to that.
The guy has had a microphone shoved up his ass for 18 months now, but he still remains a mystery to most Americans.
If he really wanted to share his message and talk about the issues, he would have signed on for more debates, or perhaps the town hall meetings Sen. McCain has suggested.
The sad fact is, the mystery that surrounds the guy is by design.
The last thing he really want is for the American people to know what he really stands for.
Capitulation
Tax increases
Wealth Redistribution
Oh, but I guess I'm not being fair.. because he PROMISES these tax increases will only be on the $250k and up crowd.
Does he think we're all stupid? Because there is some serious fuzzy math going on here.
How is he going to take money from the rich through taxes, give money to the poor through tax credits, and pay for health care?
Does he not realize that we cant and aren't even able to pay for some of our current social(ist) programs? (Medicare Medicaid etc.) and yet he's somehow going to expand these programs into a Universal health care plan.
What about the newest social program the American taxpayers will be paying for? Bailing out the 2 GSE Mortgage giants that his buddies helped to run into the ground.
Hopefully Frank Raines and Jim Johnson rest comfortably on the bed of roses that the American taxpayers will be forced to provide for them...maybe they'll have an extra bed ready for Barry , he's gonna need someplace to go after he finishes losing this race.

"he still remains a mystery to most Americans"
Obama has a nearly perfect liberal voting record, so there's not really much mystery.

HS, did Sarah Palin breast feed Trig? Did she breast feed her other children?
If she gave the teats to her previous puppies, but not Trig, this would be another piece of circumstantial evidence that Trig is Bristol's child, not hers.
OTOH, if Sarah Palin ever did breast feed Trig, this would be pretty conclusive evidence that she is the birth mother.

The attacks on Palin aren't going to get him anywhere, and the Moveon.org people's ace in the hole is troopergate, is laughable.
Normally, if a law enforcement official admitted to tasering his 10 year old son, the entire country would be outraged, and the liberal media would be leading the charge to crucify the guy.
However, since this is a presidential race, they're instead going to try to condemn Palin for supposedly pressuring & ultimately firing the man who refused to discipline an admitted felon.
I guess the Libs are only looking out for the little guy if it gets them votes, or if they're not the 10 year old nephew of a Republican candidate.

"Normally, if a law enforcement official admitted to tasering his 10 year old son, the entire country would be outraged, and the liberal media would be leading the charge to crucify the guy."
I agree that the "troopergate" thing is dirty politics on the part of the Democrats.
My concern with Palin is her lack of qualifications for the job.

Obama has a nearly perfect liberal voting record, so there's not really much mystery.
how many americans know that his father was a polygamist and his mother a lunatic fringe hippie?
how many americans know bristol palin is pregnant?
compare and contrast.

What is the official reason Sarah Palin is giving for firing Walt Monegan?
Isn't she claiming something totally unrelated to Mike Wooten?
Palin doesn't get to simultaneously claim that she fired Monegan for something unrelated to Wooten and have her proxies argue that she really did fire Monegan for not firing Wooten, but the decision was legitimate, not personal.
