The SAT's and ACT's aren't IQ tests. All the evidence shows that its about 80% correlated with intelligence. I scored a 32 on the ACT which would translate on to about a 1410-1450 on the SAT. According to that my IQ is anywhere from 138 to 141 but I know its 127 based on the IQ test I took in 3rd grade which is much more valid.

My grandmother dropped out of school in 9th grade, I would peg her IQ at about 145.

When she dropped out, she was #1 in her class in a religious school that was probably 1 s.d. above the public schools.

My mom is a successful businesswoman and her SAT qualifies for Mensa, but she didn't even get a four-year college degree until later in life.

IMHO, if you barely finished college at a crappy state school, either your IQ should be re-rated downward, or you have another condition hampering your intellectual power. Lots of people say that I'm smart, but it's mostly low IQ white and black proles who say that. Compared to people who finished school in three or four years in rigorous programs at selective schools, I'm a prole idiot.

I know plenty of tattooed people who are productive members of society, and I know plenty of non-tattooed people who are leeches on society. I can maybe shed some light on the ring tattoos. My husband was a Bering Sea crab fisherman when we married 20 years ago. Asking him to wear a wedding ring would have put his life in danger because rings can get caught up in hooks and machinery. If your ring gets snagged on a crab pot as it's going over the side, you're going to the bottom and you aren't coming back. Safer to replace the ring with a tattoo.

Like elitism, white trash is a mentality, not an economic situation. I've met people with an 8 figure net worth I'd consider white trash, and been waited on in restaurants by people I'd call elitist.
