Per CNN Political Ticker:
But [Meghan McCain] wouldn’t be drawn into any assessment of Arizona Sen. John McCain’s vice presidential pick. “Sarah Palin is the only part of the campaign that I won’t comment on publicly,” she said.
I guess she’s adhering to the philosophy that if you can’t say something nice about someone, then you shouldn’t say anything at all.
Maybe she's the father.
Or since there is appearently bad blood between at least one Team McCain adviser and Palin, and Meagan was ridding a bus with those advisers for a yera, she feels she cant take sides either way without alienating a camp.
In retrospect it makes McCain look all the dumber for not involving the smartest man in politics, Karl Rove, into his campaign for petty personal reasons.

After the old man dies Meghan will write the TELL ALL BOOK. Palin will base her 2012 campaign on these essays....she´ll have nothing else.

It's an old story at this point; McCain himself was bad enough as a (supposedly Republican) candidate to lose on his own. I don't remember which 'debate' it was -- I mean they're all the same, i.e. complete shams -- but I will never forget him relating his "plan" to have the federal government buy up all bad mortgages. The way he insisted that it was "my plan". He seemed like such a pathetic loser at that moment.

"for not involving the smartest man in politics, Karl Rove"
basicaly the man who had the idea to give hispanic easy mortgages so they would become homeowners and start voting Republican. A true genius. The archictect of the republican victory in 2008 presidential elections and the man behind the super-majorities republicans enjoy in the Senate and the House
