Persian Rugs

  • If the United States places some sort of economic embargo on Iran, this probably means there will be no more Persian rugs for sale in the U.S. I urge my readers to visit this online rug store before it's too late.

There is nothing like a quality handmade imported Persian rug to add that special look to your home. I have one in my apartment and everytime I look at it I'm glad I don't have one of those cheap machine made rugs.

You should go find yourself a copy of an Indian-American newspaper. It's so much fun reading through the classified ads for arranged marriages like: "20-something handsome pale Brahmin MD, seeks light skinned 20-something female Brahmin with MD or equivalent professional degree and long legs."

There's a man who leads a life of danger
To everyone he meets he stays a stranger
With every move he makes another chance he takes
Odds are he won't live to see tomorrow

Secret Asian man, secret Asian man
They've given you a number and taken away your name

Beware of pretty faces that you find
A pretty face can hide an evil mind
Ah, be careful what you say
Or you'll give yourself away
Odds are you won't live to see tomorrow

Secret Asian man, secret Asian man
They've given you a number and taken away your name

Swingin' on the Riviera one day
And then layin' in the Bombay alley next day
Oh no, you let the wrong word slip
While kissing persuasive lips
The odds are you won't live to see tomorrow

Secret Asian man, secret Asian man
They've given you a number and taken away your name

Secret Asian man

That was funny once, not twice.

p.s. I believe plumbing in India is a lot dirtier than it is here in the US, owing to there being al ot less water and a lot more people, so I dont blame 'em for assuming that cleaning a toilet is a horrible job worthy of only the lowest survivors of the human race. Also a lot of people in India dont use toilet paper, they have these little spray bottles that they think makes them clean but really it just makes a big mess. Or maybe that's only Pakistan.

ohhhhhh thank you thank you for turning off comment moderation. I promise I will never post spam or insults or anything like that.

"That was funny once, not twice."

But Sigma has been posting a lot about Asian men. What else was I to do?

"In contrast, in the U.S., "people have to even clean their own toilets," says Hasit Dave, 55..."

India isn't known for the sanitary practices of the inhabitants...Oddly enough, many centuries ago, it was supposed to be a really clean place. Kind weird, like the fact the Frogs invented soap...As we all know the joke goes like this:

Q. Where do you hide money from a French guy?

In Indian culture, masculinity is not highly prized. Scholarship, family status, and earning power are more likely to win you the girl than alpha male traits. This is partly because nearly all marriages in India, and probably a majority of Indian-American marriages, are arranged. Parents' values are therefore supreme in mate selection. Also, in general Indians are not high-testosterone jocks. So the culture tends to built by, and geared toward, high powered nerd professionals.

HS, you're Jewish. How do Jewish people in general react to nerdishness? My general sense is that Jews are on average more appreciative towards intellect, but tend to value the alpha male type jobs more than nerd jobs. For example, it seems like business (Wall Street, corporate America, entrapanuership) and entertainment (media, Hollywood) are much popular among Jews than nerd professions like medicine or software programming.

Send 'em all packing.

"There are also some sample matrimonial ads, where apparently having a degree in computer science is considered to be a big plus. This is a lot different from the U.S. dating market, where a degree in computer science would cause a girl to say, “ewwwww!”"

IT jobs may well be the most upscale ones readily available in the Indian economy. In America we have BIGLAW, i-banking and hedge funds, among other things, that are both high-paying and far less nerdy than IT. American women who are looking for affluent boyfriends and husbands can choose men from these fields. Indian women don't have those options.

Despite India's huge size and increasing affluence, its presence in the sports world is almost nonexistent. Its Olympics medal count is on a level with Paraguay or Turkmenistan. Cricket is the only sport in which India competes internationally on a meaningful level, and that's probably related to the fact that not too many countries play the sport.

"20-something handsome pale Brahmin MD, seeks light skinned 20-something female Brahmin with MD or equivalent professional degree and long legs."

This is what happens when an entire society believes in HBD and intelligence.

This brings to mind my own observation that foreign women often expect that access to the relative wealth of the United States will buy them more leisure, and freedom from scut work, than it actually does.

"Despite India's huge size and increasing affluence, its presence in the sports world is almost nonexistent."

Well that might have something to do with the fact that 60% of the population is officially STUNTED by malnutrition, and the remaining 40% probably have some degree of malnutrition.

every long term investor should follow closely the stocks of SEGA, NIntendo and who else makes that anime stuff.

the hordes of low T/high IQ/lonely males of India and China will make those companies shares go to the sky

Interesting article.
First of all, there is a shortage of young nubile women, something men should never forget. Second of all, the quality of life for a succesful profesional or rich person is much higher in a stable second world country than in a first world country. I for example have access to a teen girl and a maid, things I could probably never have access to in the US. For all the hate Steve Sailor and others have against Mexico, a succesful person in Mexico will have a much higher quality of living and access to young nice women than his American counterpart.
It is the poor and the low middleclass who live MUCH better in first world countries. If I would have to choose between the New S Mercedes (USA) and a teen girl and a maid (CHile, Argentina, Uruguay), guess what/who I would choose.

Gannon,

Do you live in Argentina? I am curious as to where because I believe you are right. The upper-middle class men in general here tend to take a back seat to the more caddish lower middle class bartender types(yes, I am a typical beta male). The extra income doesn't really lead to a better quality of life here because woman don't give a damn about it and even a lower-middle class salary can lead to vacations, nights out on the town, etc. I'm not seriously considering leaving ever but am just curious what it's like where you live. Let me know what's up, thanks.

If you understand that virtually all Indian marriages are arranged by parents, everything else makes quite a bit of sense.

Imagine that American or Argentinean girls were married off by their parents. Who do you think they parents would choose? Most likely nerdy IT, doctor, and other medical/technology types with "good" manners and prominent family background. In India, the low-testerone/high IQ/high income/technology and medicine types get their pick. Essentially the Beta Male is king. The programmers at Google and Microsoft would be considered hot catches by many an Indian mom.

Gannon
yes please talk about the differences between Chile, Argentina, and Uruguay

It sounds like you are suggesting that a beta male in the USA save up all his money, and once he has $800 thousand in the bank, move to Chile Argentina and Uruguay and live off his investment income.

I have heard that Buenos Aires has a lot of crime, but that crime in Chile and Uruguay is very low -

How much of an annual income does a typical American Beta need in Chile or Uruguay in order to attract multiple 18 year olds ?

Seems like you are on to something here

*the New S Mercedes (USA) and a teen girl and a maid (CHile, Argentina, Uruguay), guess what/who I would choose*

I'd rather have the new luxury coupe than the girl, as the car will give me more enjoyable experiences over the short and long-term. Plus, quite frankly, I have no need for a maid when I can cook and clean for myself.

Why is David Alexander even allowed to post on this site? David is not being honest. David would get much more utility out of an obedient 18 year old nubile female than he would out of the S class Mercedes. David knows this and he is simply saying the opposite in order to get a rise out of the assembled folks on this site. I am sure that David is a very nice person but on this web site he functions as a troll and should be shut down

jj,

You need to go back and really study parent arranged marriage in the third world. Most of the time it is a marriage between cousins or more distant relatives. The parents makes arrangements with family members to have their children marry and keep the wealth inside the clan. The parents want their children to produce wealth that can add to the wealth of the clan.

I work with a large number of Indians in IT. A good number have gone back to India in the last 5 years because the cost of living relative to salaries is better in India than here in Silicon Valley.

I asked some that have not gone back why they didn't, and the answer always was their wives don't want to go back. They may be able to hire servants to cook and clean in India, but women here are much more liberated than in India, and some India women who have experienced that don't want to go back.

The article was interesting, because it displays the prominent role that matchmaking still plays in Indian culture. But in the same breath, it showcases 1) measurable social progress: that women are striving to put their needs into the foreground by not wanting to relocate where their futures are uncertain, and 2) material considerations still take precedence, so some things never change.

Hey Half Sigma,

In the seventies a young Jewish woman rented our garage apartment, kicked out by her parents for dating a Christian guy.
How has it changed so much that Jews can marry anyone they want nowadays?
What percentage of Jews still marry their own faith? Are these marriages working, in general, or did the strict old rules make for better marriages?

In India, cousin marriage is rare outside of the Muslim community.

If a guy had a computer science degree his hotness factor would go up 432%. Pretty soon white girls will be all over indian guys. And vice versa
