A commenter named “Contrarian” said I should look into this.
I found this blogger’s research. If you follow the links, you’ll also find nude photos of Stanley Ann Dunham. That’s right, not making it up.
Obama write in his memoirs that his mother was an au pair in Chicago, and during that summer she saw the movie Black Orpheum. Although the official US Release of Black Orpheus was December, 1959, she could have seen an early art house release during the summer of 1959. Did she work for Frank Marshall Davis, who lived in Chicago? Frank Marshall Davis wrote in his memoirs that he and his white wife had a threesome with an underaged white girl named Ann. That would have to have been Obama’s mother.
* * *
Chicago? Davis moved to Hawaii in 1948 and died in Honolulu in 1987. He knew Ann Dunham's father and was close to Obama himself.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frank_Marshall_Davis#Davis_and_Barack_Obama
"In his memoir Dreams from My Father, Barack Obama wrote about "Frank", a friend of his grandfather's. "Frank" told Obama that he and Stanley (Obama's maternal grandfather) both had grown up only 50 miles apart, near Wichita, although they did not meet until Hawaii.
...
A rebuttal released by Obama's presidential campaign, titled Unfit for Publication, confirmed that "Frank" was Frank Marshall Davis"

It's Black Orpheus. The Orpheum was a theater chain.

No, it's not Marcy. Find the original photos of Stanley Ann.Her breasts are small. Marcy's breasts are much bigger.

Here is one link, for example:

Don't open it if you don't want to see nudity. These are not the same breasts.

I don't buy that Obama looks like Davis; he looks a little more like Obama senior, but it's hard to tell from the pictures. The pictures, yeah, that's his mother, at least as much as you can tell without formal analysis. Obama's grandfather's friendship with Marshall would have been enough to get his foot in the door in Chicago. Ann Dunham may have had a relationship with Davis without him being Obama's father, which would have made for a stronger bond.
The lack of marriage and divorce records is truly puzzling. Birth certificates are somewhat private, for good reason; marriage and divorce certificates not at all, also for good reason.

Seems like very thin gruel.
Anyway, Black Orpheus. IMDB says its US release was on 21 December 1959 (first shown in France on 12 June 1959).

Those nude photos of Stanley Ann look totally fake to me. Most likely pictures of her face put onto those of another woman's body.
Posted by: Peter | April 23, 2011 at 07:04 PM
There is definitely something strange about the circumstances of Obama's birth. He would have simply released the real birth certificate at this point if it wasn't fishy. Beyond that, he has a moral responsibility to the nation to clear up any doubts about his origins.

As I recall, the scene in the memoir about Black Orpheus takes place not in Chicago, but in New York. And it was both Obama and his half sister in attendance with his mother. Obama was at Columbia at the time and his mother and sister were out visiting. He realized, from watching her watch the movie, that she was obviously sexually attracted to black men. He discussed this with his half sister as well.
If I'm not remembering correctly, correct me.

all of this is quite interesting to contemplate but i have to wonder what the impact of this would be. let's say that his birth name is "barry dunham." or that his father was frank davis. worst case - he changed his name to obama to stand out as an affirmative action candidate on college applications? obviously unqualified to be president! wait...too late.
what am i missing?
he still is a jesus-type figure, who came down from heaven to absolve white americans from the sin of slavery. see, we had a black president! how could we be racist? we can continue living in majority-white communities and engaging in "soft" discrimination with college-based IQ testing that passes EEOC.

Obama is east-african, kenyan skinny. end of discussion.

Well, Snopes says they're real. However, Snopes is also the source claiming that they are Marcy Moore -- an obvious lie.
Moore looks nothing like the mystery woman with the distinctive chin.
The question I have is why would Snopes lie?
Maybe they didn't like what they saw?

You're honestly losing a lot of credibility with these tabloid like blog posts.

For all of the discussion of Barack Obama Senior, there is still the newspaper birth announcement from August 1961. Why would the grandparents put the effort into having the name listed in the newspaper in 1961? Affirmative Action did not exist then? why would the parents support a fake marriage?
[HS: The newspapers just print whatever gets entered into Hawaii's vital records. This has been gone over and over again. Why to birther-denialists refuse to even understand the argument?]

@sn:
Jimi Hendrix resembles Obama on some pictures. Jimi Hendrix was half African-American, not half East-African.
"all of this is quite interesting to contemplate but i have to wonder what the impact of this would be."
Nothing. Which is why 99% of the politically motivated birthers advance other, completely outlandish theories.

Let's just be thankful McCain is not pres, otherwise, as Sailer mentioned, we'd be warring with Russia.

HS,
the question is in the assigning hidden motivations based upon events years later to what the grand parents put into the vital records in 1961. If President Obama was not born in Hawaii, then the parents (President Obama's grandparetns) filled out the paperwork as if Obama was born at home while listing Barack Obama Sr as the father.
Many of the birthers are demonstrating how irrational they are by jumping from one conspiracy factor to another because they do not really care about the theory but just care about bringing down a politician on a personal basis.
For too many Americans, getting politicians at a personal level seems more fun than arguing about policy or governance.

HS: Regardless of the place of Obama's birth (hawaii, seattle or elsewhere), the newspaper announce is significant as the parents are referred to as Mr and Mrs Barack Obama; the grandparents and Ann Dunham clearly preferred this to Barry Dunham, did they not? The Wikipedia entry has it "Dunham and Obama Sr. were married on the Hawaiian island of Maui on February 2, 1961, despite parental opposition from both families." His wife in Kenya wasn't thrilled.
[HS: Stanley Ann obviously said she was married to Barack Obama Sr when filling out the application. Just because she wrote that down, doesn't mean it's actually true.]

delete "he grandparents and Ann Dunham clearly preferred this to Barry Dunham, did they not?" from my prior comment. the child had not been named.

Obama was born August 4, 1961. Nine months earlier is December 4, 1960. Stanley Ann Dunham, Obama's mother, graduated from high school in a suburb of Seattle, Washington in June 1960. She and her family moved to Hawaii shortly after she graduated from High School. Ann enrolled at University of Hawaii, which is where she met Barack Obama, Sr. They were married February 2, 1961 when she was 3 months pregnant.
Even if Ann Dunham did work as an au pair for Frank Marshall Davis in the summer of 1959 or even the summer of 1960, how can he possibly be Obama, Jr father?
Posted by: mikeca | April 24, 2011 at 02:24 PM
(1) Obama Sr. was a serial impregnator of white girls as well as Kenyan girls. It was not something out of character for him. In Kenya no one doubted that he was son of Obama Jr.
(2) Obama Jr. is skinny, tall, blacker than American mulattoes. He is built like an East African and not like the fat West African Bantu type.
No mystery here.
Now let discuss who wrote Shakespear's sonets.
[HS: Malcolm X is also tall and skinny. In any event, Stanley Ann was pretty skinny, so Obama could easily have inherited skinniness from his mother.]
Posted by: j | April 24, 2011 at 02:45 PM
I think the Stanley Ann photos are fakes. They show her with a slimmer body than other publically available photos that show her with a somewhat thicker build.

"the mystery woman with the distinctive chin"
Yeah, I've been waiting for someone to mention it... John Kerry?
Posted by: AllanF | April 24, 2011 at 05:06 PM
What is need is to be able to recover a biological sample of Obama or his children, a sample from the Dunham family and a sample from an Obama and from Davis son.
23andMe would need 300$ for analysing them.
Cross the data and something interesting will come out.

"writes". "Orpheus". Are you drunk? Happy easter, HS.
Posted by: josh | April 24, 2011 at 06:33 PM
The photos are clearly not of Obama's mother. Look at the eyes and noses of both respective women. They both have similar jaw lines, but their eyes and noses are different.
Posted by: Insider | April 24, 2011 at 08:46 PM
'Frank Marshall Davis wrote in his memoirs that he and his white wife had a threesome with an underaged white girl named Ann.'
This is incorrect. Davis wrote that he had a threesome with a 13 year old girl named Anne with his -first- wife, who was black. Davis married his second wife in 1946, so it's impossible that the Anne he is talking about could have been the same one.
[HS: Maybe Davis isn't the father. Maybe Malcolm X isn't the father. Maybe Barack Obama, Sr. isn't the father. Maybe Sr. is the father and Jr. was born in Kenya. President Obama won't let anyone see his original records, so people are going to make guesses.]
