Did Trayvon Martin punch a bus driver?

Information about the tweet from his cousin's tweet is now showing up on more mainstream news sources:

"Yu ain't tell me you swung on a bus driver," Martin's cousin wrote to him on Feb. 21.

This incident is in addition to the incidents that got Martin suspended from school on multiple occasions.

I do not understand what "should" means here. Does it mean not physically possible or are we just tut-tutting at Zimmerman because he doesn't exercise very much?

All things being equal, Trayvon may or may not have been able to overpower Zimmerman. But if the first punch was a sucker punch that broke his nose I'd say the odds were definitely in Trayvon's favor. There's always the "lucky shot" that rings someone's bell. From then on, it was simply a matter of getting on top and smacking his head on the concrete. I don't think Zimmerman has anything to be ashamed of.

Its not just size but knowing how to handle yourself by actually having been in fights. The fact that Martin was winning the fight is something where there is a lot of evidence and will probably end up being more or less uncontestable.

The real question is how the fight started. And that we may never know.

For having his lip split and a broken nose and a gash on his shaven head, the police surveillance of zimmerman shows his face in pristine condition. Sounds more like Zimmerman is conducting his defense in the media because he doesn't feel confident about his innocence in court.

Seems to me like Angela Corey found a few seconds of footage in which Zimmerman appears not to look so bad, and released this in order to win the case in the media before it goes to trial. Lara, what exactly does your petition accomplish? You're no better than Al Sharpton and half the population out there with their pitchforks screaming for George Zimmerman's head on a platter. If you must make a petition, how about one in support of Mr. Zimmerman for rightfully so defending his neighborhood and his life from a thug?

What Lara's petition accomplishes is to drag the issue of the worthlessness and poisonousness of black street culture, with its pride (without reason to be) and violence as the natural first response to a situation, front and center before the country. The point is that the people involved in that culture are racist. It's racist to form a identity that you defend in terms of race, like old-time Southerners defending the "white way of life" or something. The New Black Panthers are basically a less-organized, black-oriented KKK, and street culture is their lifeblood.

I was in the army in Vietnam when I was 17 and yes I could kick a 28 year old man's ass I was 6-1 165# solid muscle most 30 old men are weak and have no training on how to defend themselves

Only problem with your analogy Bill is that it is that it doesn't relate in this situation. As you were military combat trained and Trayvon Martin was not, infact Zimmerman was trained in hand to hand combat from his time on the force before he was relieved of his duties.

That being said a 6ft160 pound boy beating a 5ft9 200-250 pound man with no physical handicaps, hand to hand combat training, and a gun is next to impossible.
