The Last Refuge blog claims to have discovered the true identity of “DeeDee” and that Ben Crumps has lied about her relationship to Trayvon and he lied about her going to the hospital after she found out he was shot.
The person who wrote the blog post also says (presumably based on the public record of news articles and releases from legal authorities) that the police did try to contact “DeeDee” before Ben Crumps got to her and that she refused to talk.
Looks very convincing! And since Ben Crumps lied about everything else, there is no surprise that lied about it, too.

I just discovered The Last Refuge blog this morning through a link from The Wagist. (Thanks, BTW, for your link to The Wagist a while back--great work there).
It also looks to be fantastic work from The Last Refuge. GZ's legal team might want to take a gander.
As Last Refuge points out, it looks to be the case that this whole thing has been concocted by the legal team representing Team Trayvon to get to a an arrest and trial of a suspect, not for the purpose of seeking a guilty verdict, but for the purpose of being allowed by Florida law to bring a civil suit. Without an arrest and naming of charges, and a judge that will let a hearing go forward, lawyers can't press a civil suit. Read MONEY,MONEY, MONEY here.
Lawyer Crump and firm knew how to gin up civil unrest in order to force a wimpy special prosecutor in the person of Angela Corey to bring charges. The involvement of the girl, DeeDee has been manufactured by Team Trayvon in order to force the special prosecutor to bring charges.
The civil trial is their ultimate goal. Ah, lawyers.

"Without an arrest and naming of charges, and a judge that will let a hearing go forward, lawyers can't press a civil suit."
I am a Florida lawyer who has defended wrongful death cases. I have never heard of this rule.

Wow...Gotta love the internet.
There was a very prescient episode of the Simpsons where Homer was tried in the Media and vilified based on a false accusation and it was only when it turns out someone had been videotaping the whole encounter that the truth came out. One of the final lines of the episode has really come back to me over the course of the Zimmerman affair:
"You know, the courts may not be working any more, but as long as everyone is videotaping everyone else, justice will be done."

The only objective evidence we've even seen so far that DeeDee was even on the phone with Martin was from a web print out (http://i.imgur.com/2VgxN.jpg) which would be trivial to alter and fake. That would be such a brazen lie that would be so easy to check though.

What's going on with this? Are other people picking this up? Is there any confirmation?
