Actually Jewish writer Peter Beinart has crowned Obama the first Jewish president though anti-semites consider George W. bush the most Jewish president because he invaded Iraq. I would say Reagan or Carter are the most white president in recent years.

Frankly, who cares about the demographics of college interns? It will continue to be dominated by upper-middle class SWPLs, who has the financial backing and intellectual ability for a non-paid D.C. internship.

What's more of a paradox, seems to be Obama's cabinet selection, which is favoring Caucasians and includes only one African-American Eric Holder. Obama also hasn't appointed a Hispanic besides Sonia Sotomayor to a relevant prominent position, so he does seem to be "white".

Why is Mitt more white than any previous Republican, or for that matter, any Democrat before Obama?

On an unrelated note, what would you guess Paul Ryan's IQ to be? I would put it at 145 at the very least.

"I have to admit that Romney is the whitest Republican candidate for president since Nelson Rockefeller."

C'mon, whiter than Bush Sr.? At least Romney's ancestry is exotic, as is his religion. H.W. was as whitebread and waspy as they come.

"what would you guess Paul Ryan's IQ to be? I would put it at 145 at the very least"

A white guy from Wisconsin who attended Miami University of Ohio (instead of the actually decent University of Wisconsin-Madison near his home), earned there a B.A. in political science and worked all his life in political positions does not exactly sound like a description of someone with an IQ over 145. Possible but very unlikely.

What makes George W Bush less white than Mitt? His accent?

[HS: You should click the link to my previous post for the answer.]

Obama is very different from other black politicians who are all race-based and preaching to blacks interest only.

"A white guy from Wisconsin who attended Miami University of Ohio (instead of the actually decent University of Wisconsin-Madison near his home)"

Miami of O. is supposed to be a "public ivy".

[HS: "Public Ivy" is an oxymoron. (With Cornell being the exception that proves the rule.)]

Perhaps you are not aware that persons working on political campaigns do their best to keep the outsiders out. It is a very cliquey thing. You have to be a "good ole boy" to get inside. I tried working on Clinton's campaign in Los Angeles and later for Bill Bradley. I got to be a potential rep for Bradley from my district by understanding their mentality. However, even then I was kept out of the loop. They didn't want me. It goes beyond race. White insiders in Obama's campaign are adept at keeping blacks away from the President just as her white team keep the number of black people away from Oprah. I don't think she is even aware of it. On the other hand, now that he is no longer President, it is not impossible to speak to Mr. Clinton. In campaigns outsiders can only be go-fers.

Well, yeah, that's why I put it in quotation marks. My point is that it isn't obviously in a lower league prestige-wise that UW as the previous commenter implied.

Miami of Ohio is a less than 1200 SAT school that is considered similar to UConn, Delaware and James Madison. There is nothing Ivy-like about it.

My guidance counselor always said that SUNY Geneseo was the "public ivy". We all know how wise guidance counselors are.

Cornell is only a public school for bogus majors like "agricultural engineering".

OK, but neither is there anything "Ivy-Like" about UW. They look more or less the same to me:
