Trayvon Martin's knuckles were injured

Latest news is that Trayvon Martin’s autopsy showed that he had injuries to his knuckles, consistent with Martin punching out Zimmerman. Which means that the funeral director lied, but reading between the lines there were no other injuries to Martin. So the evidence is completely consistent with Trayvon throwing the first punch and beating up Zimmerman who was incapable of fighting back.

Presumably, the funeral director did not perform an autopsy. Maybe he just didn't notice any bruising. He could hardly be expected to be an expert in diagnosing hematomas on the knuckles of corpses. That is what the medical examiner is for.

We still don't know what started the fight. Sure, Zimmerman was getting his ass beat, but we already knew that. It remains possible that Zimmerman provoked the altercation without leaving a mark on Martin. In the absence of witnesses, however, it will be impossible for the prosecution to successfully counter Zimmerman's own contrary account.

It doesn't really matter if you don't like or know how to fight. I can confidently say I am much, much stronger than Trayvon was, but the last time I threw a punch was in middle school. I don't know if I would win a fight with someone who throws the first punch, especially if they are willing to really hurt me.

I lift weights because it is enjoyable, not because I am afraid of being attacked by feral youths. If I felt that way, I would get a concealed carry permit.

Yes, an assbeating could've turned Trayvon into a straight-laced, upstanding young man. He would have renounced the "no limit nigga" persona immediately.

strength and size aren't the only traits to have if you want to get a jump on a person and beat them senseless. speed is the primarily relevant trait. and blacks have quicker reflexes than white hispanics.

YES - make sure he is aware of the *latest* styles in the #knockoutking game, wherein the perps beat and kick the victim's head to the point of death or brain damage.

Because that's where it was headed when Zimmerman killed him, whether he realized it or not. I was just over at NRO bringing this up. I'm afraid a jury will just see it as garden-variety fisticuffs and find excessive force.

Zimmerman's attorney needs to get this in evidence if he can. The youts all know this stuff from Twitter, so it's not like Trayvon was unaware.

Ben Crump doesn't care. Zimmerman didn't go to see an ENT, so it wasn't serious enough to warrant shooting Trayvon.

The truth and the law are both irrelevant. Zimmerman will be tried, there will be black jurors, and the jury will either hang or the black jurors will grudgingly, very grudgingly, accede to manslaughter. Zimmerman will be tried again if necessary but he will do a few years in prison.

Now that the truth about Zimmerman's injuries (and Martin's bruised knuckles) is out, the DoJ has decided it wants to talk hate crime. They will be pursuing a federal hate crime case "aggressively" if they think Martin's civil rights were violated. They can seek the death penalty for this.

It's incredible, but there it is. George Zimmerman may be *executed* for the crime of defending himself against a black assailant.

The timing is awfully convenient. Just as forensic evidence strongly supporting Zimmerman's version of events is released, the DoJ says they may seek to execute him. Is this an attempt to scare Zimmerman into pleading?

Forgive me if I'm confusing you with someone else here, but aren't you the guy who keeps denying that blacks are more physical and better at fighting than whites? If so, then why would whites have to take special steps to avoid Zimmerman's fate?

Once somebody gets the jump on you with a sucker punch and you go down you are at a serious disadvantage. You're stunned and it's gonna take you at least a few seconds to recover. An MMA fighter can probably recover quickly and get on his feet or bring the other guy down and get the upper hand. More than one attacker would be a challenge even for an MMA guy who goes down. The average guy doesn't have much of a chance unless he's carrying.
